London 2012

1908. 1948. 2012. London will become the first city to officially host the modern Olympic Games for three times. Great Britain won the bid for hosting the games against 4 other countries: France, Spain, US and Russia. The Wembley Stadium, the most expensive stadium ever built, will be the venue for football. The O2, a large entertainment district in south-east London, will be the venue for basketball and gymnastics. And The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club will be the venue for tennis. The London Underground will transport spectators to the said Olympic venues. Organizers expect some 7.7 million tickets would be available for the Olympic Games. I hope I could grab one or two. We should go earlier. So we can even join the free events: marathon and road cycling.
